Seattle staged a remarkable fightback to defeat the Rams in extra time, clinching their spot in the postseason.

Overcoming a sixteen-point deficit in the fourth quarter, the Seahawks emerged victorious by a single point at home, registering their fifth consecutive win.

While the Rams had already secured a post-season spot earlier on Sunday, the Seattle team secured their place to the postseason after a two-year hiatus.

With this result, the Seattle have taken over their Conference race with a 12-3 record, supplanting the Rams, who dropped to the number five playoff position with an eleven and four standing.

Game Highlights

Quarterback Sam Darnold threw two interceptions but recovered to deliver two touchdown passes, culminating in the second score to star receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba in overtime.

The Rams held a 13-7 lead at half-time before Kenneth Walker III burst through for a 55-yard touchdown run for Seattle.

Rams cornerback Josh Wallace then took back Darnold's first interception for 56 yards, leading to a one-yard score by Blake Corum on the next play.

In the final stanza, a scoring pass from Matthew Stafford to Nacua pushed the advantage to 30-14, but Rashid Shaheed provided the comeback with a spectacular punt return.

Darnold then found AJ Barner in the end zone, and a converted conversion sent the game into an extra period.

Although Puka Nacua scored for his second TD in OT, Smith-Njigba responded in kind to set up the game-winning conversion.
